Adam Johnson::Head engineer/producer
Adam Johnson is an audio engineer and producer in the music, television and film industries. He has held positions at numerous studios and venues, as well as organizations including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Banff Centre for Performing Arts and the Aspen Music Festival and School.
Credits include work on countless music productions, short and feature length films, documentaries, series, theater, opera, TV and radio broadcasts as well as commercials and branding for networks such as NBC, Fox, Discovery, National Geographic, EPIX and TruTV. He also worked on the Grammy award-winning album "Legacy" by David Holt and Doc Watson.
Adam has had the pleasure of working on projects with some of the finest artists from around the world including Yo-Yo Ma, Bela Fleck, James Taylor, Alison Kraus, Harry Connick Jr., Itzhak Perlman, Edgar Meyer, Maya Angelou and many others.
Adam holds degrees in music production as well as computer science. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, and the Society of Broadcast Engineers. His work has earned him multiple Grammy nominations in addition to many other awards.
matthew nielson::composer/sound designer
Matthew M. Nielson is a composer, sound designer, audio engineer, writer and producer for film, television, theatre, radio and video games.
Originally from the Washington, DC Area, he has designed sound, composed and engineered for numerous theatre companies of all sizes including Shakespeare Theatre, Arena Stage, Ford's Theatre the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the National Geographic Society, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, The Joseph Papp Public Theatre, Wolf Trap Farm Park, the Folger Shakespeare Library, Studio Theatre, Wooly Mammoth Theatre Company, Signature Theatre and Round House Theatre where he was the Resident Sound Designer for five years. Nielson has won several awards for his theatre work, including four Helen Hayes Awards for Outstanding Sound Design and a League of Cincinnati Theatres nomination. He has been instrumental in shaping the course of theatrical sound design in the DC theatre community. Nielson wrote, directed, recorded, designed and scored the popular radio drama Troublesome Gap with his audio-theatre troop The Audible Group.
Nielson has scored, designed and mixed many films, television shows, web series, local and national commercials, and network branding packages. His work in film has garnered several nominations and awards.
